EU funding for children with deafblindness

SLOVENIA, September 2 - The call for proposals will be co-financed by the European Union. It will support activities aimed at collecting, learning about, and testing good practices in teaching and working with deafblind children. These activities will involve, among others, innovative teaching approaches, adapted modes of communication, development of teaching aids and materials to facilitate social inclusion of deafblind children in education, workshops on deafblindness, and collaboration with domestic and foreign organisations involved in work with children who are deafblind.

The call for proposals will be implemented as part of Slovenia’s EU Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027 under priority Long-term care and health, and social inclusion. It will pursue specific objective Promoting social integration of people at risk of poverty or social exclusion, including the most deprived persons and children.

The call will come with a budget of €380,000. It will receive €152,000 from the European Social Fund Plus.

The call will be published by the Ministry of Education in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia on Friday, 12 September 2025.
